As I read the Bible, I find inspiration about God and my relationship to Him. I rejoice not only in this, but also in the beautiful language and images that the writers used to express God's being. I see these words, these images. I consider them, and sculpt. Sure, I am using material means - in this case clay - to search for the incorporeal, the spiritual, the inexpressible -- but what is art, if not that?
